I am Damian Yerrick aka DJ Tepples, the author of "Balloon Fever" for
DDR OSC 3+.  I'd like to request some clarification on some of the
points expressed in the public reviews.

As more reviews arrive, I'll update this page.

Ebisumaru didn't like Castlevania Adventure either. Some people
just don't appreciate chiptunes.  If I could, I'd sentence you

suffice it to say that I was aping the steps of "Maximizer" to
an extent. I just might end up rearranging the difficulties
on a post-OSC 3+ version, pushing heavy out to pad oni.

It seems there's a bit of controversy about the heavy chart.
Some claim it's too hard for the song; others claim it's too
easy for a 10 foot rating.
FOR THOSE WHO THINK IT'S TOO EASY FOR 10 FEET: Go play "Maximizer"
pad oni or "Sakura" heavy.
FOR THOSE WHO THINK IT'S TOO HARD FOR PAD PLAY: When I play this
on a pad at 1.0xmusic, I get further in this than I get in the
"real" Maxes.  Compare the last run (at roughly 9.6 Hz) to runs
in "Max 300" heavy (10 Hz) and "The legend of MAX" heavy (11 Hz),
and compare the twisting to that of "Exotic Ethnic" heavy.

At least they're real easy handplants.  And no, even in ITG, hands
aren't limited to Expert; I saw some mines and hands in Hard charts
on a real ITG machine at Putt-Putt in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Other than a couple triples, I tried to make everything index-
friendly.  Like Arch0wl, I play with indexes, and I passed this
on 1.0xmusic with indexes (using Lindex+Rindex+Rmiddle for
handplants and triples) after a few tries.  Could you please
elaborate on exactly where it went awry?

This was the only universally hated thing about "Balloon Fever".
The OSC rules seem to require a PNG rather than a JPG as the
-bg, but the song's real background is stills/title-screen.jpg,
and PNG has poor rate-distortion performance for photorealistic
images, so I had to put in another background as the -bg.
Blame DDREI for turning off the filter and ruining my joke.
